You've stumbled upon the virtual home of this oral rumination on the queerness of graphic novels and comix. This queerness refers to the literal representation of queer identitiy in graphic forms AS WELL AS a queering of form which is showcased by these multimediums.
Note the seperation of the visual medium of graphics/comix from this digital, auditory engagment. For decades queer community has formed online through open source softwares and platforms as a means to avaid physical violence and to create beautiful, artistric spaces of authenticity and muchness. Queerness is everywhere; we are visible even as we are concealed.
Please enjoy these minutes, the collected voices of Mita Mahato, L.L. Simkowiak, and Sarah Leavitt.
